OUR MISSION

CrossChannelNews launched in early 2024 to cover a range of news across Europe, from what matters to local people to geopolitcal upheavals. We have experience in news and investigate without fear or favour.

Although Brexit has caused a split within Europe there are still many common issues- not least the English Channel problem of asylum seekers which remains unresolved. We aim to be a cross-cultural bridge for the growing number of citizens who have failed to identify the benefits of the European divorce.

Many people complain that mainstream news outlets all reflect the same establishment view, whether from the left or right. What matters to us is what is important to ordinary people. We will be establishing a platform to give the public a voice through our journalists. No story will be too big or small.

The website is what those in business circles might call a ‘soft launch’ designed to establish a presence. But as experienced journalists we are already digging up things that readers will find compelling. And we are open to suggestions. If you want a matter investigating, we can help.

A number of issues are already on our radar – organisations like councils, health trusts and government departments should be looking over their shoulder.

We have seen some scandalous evidence of cash outlays in public sector organisations and secret plans to blitz spending on special educational news. Watch this space!

In addition we will cover the issues of transport links, property and holiday rentals on both sides of the divide.
